Hi all!  Thanks for dropping by!

-Jennifer Turnholt

-Currently living in Urbana, IL

-Senior at the University of Illinois

-21 years old

I’ll be graduating from U of I in December 2009 with a degree in German and Commercial Studies, and I’ll be the first person in the history of the University to complete the Translation Studies Certification, which I think is pretty cool.  I plan to begin law school in the fall of 2010, probably studying business law with an international focus.  Hopefully I’ll either stay at U of I, or be somewhere in Chicago.

I grew up cooking fairly often, but I mostly baked.  Cookies, cakes, bars, rolls, you name it.  That pretty much stopped when I got to college since the dorm kitchens weren’t conducive to actually cooking, but now that I’m in an apartment, it’s back in full swing.  Most of my food is simple, quick, and flavorful, because as a college student I just don’t have the time to make complex meals!  They’re also usually fairly healthy- my mom is a nurse, so I just grew up eating vegetables and healthy food, and that’s what I like.

I am also a dance instructor, and have taught swing dancing for two years now, and have danced for five years.  I have a serious addiction to shoes.  I’m learning to bartend.  I love vanilla, and think it should be paired with raspberries more often.  I secretly despise economics and bananas.  And I can’t use a microwave without burning things to save my life.

  1. Thanks for de-lurking! Wonderful site, and I’ll be back. Oh, and I don’t own a microwave for that exact reason 🙂
